Welcome to Writing as Witness!
You’re in and I’m thrilled.
Here’s what you need to know:
TIME:
10am – 4pm with lunch around 12:30pm
WHAT TO BRING:
- Walking shoes (not tricky walking, just be prepared for a light easy walk).
- Weather appropriate clothing.
- A picnic style lunch.
- Your own journal and pen if that is your preference.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Trust your instincts. You may choose to come with NOTHING prepared at all, or you may decide that coming with a topic of personal discovery is better. You may choose to come prepared and then leave it all behind once the process begins.
TRAVEL
BC Ferries – Bowen Island Ferry Schedule is here. It’s a 20 minute crossing. BC Ferries stop selling tickets 10 minutes prior to sailing so be sure to arrive early enough to make the boat.
DRIVING vs. WALKING ON
All day parking is Horseshoe Bay is available for approx. $20 for the day. Walking on is approx. $13 (only pay one way). Driving is approx. $48 (only pay one way). Here is the fare schedule to have a look.
If you are choosing to walk on and require a lift up to Rivendell (the walk is do-able, but will take you 30 minutes uphill), simply send me an email and we’ll be sure to pick you up. tina@liveyourbeststory.com. I’ll be in touch before the retreat day anyway…
