Your 5 Day Writing Challenge Looks Like This

How do you bring what lives vividly in your head – words, images, stories, and moments – onto the page? Writing starts from expression, becomes sharing, and then communicates. Writing invites you to shape what you know, feel, and imagine into something others can take with them.

Today you’ll develop a daily writing practice, discover more about how inspiration and words come to you, and give yourself permission to WRITE.

What makes a great story? Are there rules? And what role does structure really play in getting words onto the page?

Today, we’ll explore when structure supports your creativity—and when it gets in the way. We’ll look at the five parts of a great story, how to keep your eye on the big story while writing the small ones, and what it means to make your own rules.

How do you face a blank page? Where do your ideas come from—and how do you know when to trust them? What keeps you showing up, day after day, as you write your piece, your manuscript, your story?

Today, we’ll talk about writing from your Story from the Core, explore the Myth You Were Made For, and learn how to trust your Original Impulse.

What is a story—really? Is it something you create, or something that moves through you? Whether you’re writing a memoir, a play, a novel, or a personal essay, today we’ll explore what gives a story shape, where meaning lives, and how to follow the thread of truth without forcing the outcome. You’ll learn how to work with your story—rather than wrestle it into place.

My wish for you is a writing practice that nourishes both you and your audience—for life. Writing isn’t just a way to communicate with the world; it’s a way to stay in conversation with yourself. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

Today, we’ll explore different kinds of writing practices—and begin discovering the one that feels most like home to you, so you can enjoy a lifetime of listening, sharing and creating.
